Is it possible to edit a track's Start and Finish?

Is it possible to edit a track's start and finish position after it has already been recorded? I would like to know the elapsed time from one point on the track to another. Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers.

If you are looking to direct Hotlines to see which is faster...
We stop and record tracks down hotlines dropping Green and Yellow Marker dots using the PreRunner bar to then move the Route over to the lines we want to take.
At a higher level for this past Baja 1000, we ran two Can Ams prerunning with our LN-BLOWOUT satellite equipment so we could see each other updating every 30 seconds on the map. The lead vehicle would be running that section with the second vehicle taking any possible hotlines. We would then see each other progressing to determine which was the better/faster line. After that section we would switch to Route Edit and drag the race route over the line we wanted to take.
