Hi We have been using this App with a pro subscription for event staff and prepertation of event file for 3 years now. However our 400 event entrants have only required the basic app aqnd we provided a .mbtile base map for offline use.
Why has this feature now been dropped from the standard package?

Moving the MBTile support to our subscription level users was a decision that needed to be made to ensure that our folks actually paying for the off the grid mapping capability through these subscriptions received this capability. It also puts the MBTile support inline with the direction it was intended which is for mass offline mapping through our partners in aerial and satellite mapping.

Could you tell us more, what these MBTiles are made from? What do they provide over handing out a GPS/GPX file for the participants?

Are they overlays of GPS files or do they include map imagery? If they do contain map imagery did you collect this imagery yourself via drone or aircraft and process or who did you license this imagery through? What is the size of these MBTiles/how many?

Understanding that you are running full events for up to 400 people. We could discuss supporting options to help support this event. With us currently pulling In App subscriptions out of the Apple App Store we will actually have more control of the in app subscriptions and be able to discount and distribute to groups and organizations.

You may see some adjustments to MBTile support as we are currently building out more enterprise solutions around this and many other capabilities, while ensuring that it makes sense with our customers and partners.

We are going to discuss this more and the possibility of adding a form of MBTile support per event or even in a lower tier like our Advanced Pack, based from your above Information.

    Thank you
    Damian

We use the Australian Nat Map 1:250km map that is distributed under the Creative Commons licence as the base layer of the map. This gives us the best coverage for our event entrants as it shows key land marks, towns, rivers and allows us to load out a single 4gb file for total coverage of Australia.

We then build and release routes and markers to show specific details required for each event.

Ease of use and the ability to airdrop the complete load out is perfect.

Our event organizers are Pro Users and they utilize the sat images however all of our mapping needs are taken care of with large mbtile files, some upto 116gb that give state coverage at 1:9.5km and are updated regularly.

Would certainly appreciate further discussion on how we can collaborate further.

    Thanks
