Iridum go....

Absolutely love that you have added the irridum GO support, I just wish it was more affordable.

$2100/year each vehicle means $4,200/year for race and one chase vehicle.

LOVE the feature and im sure it works great, but just cant justify the price vs a delorme solution (Even though its WAY less advanced than leadnav).

If we could get it down to $50/mo somehow we would go for it, but its simply too much for the smaller teams to afford.

Unfortunately the price is what it is for the capability that we are providing.

To have unlimited tracking off the grid to off the grid in our LEADNAV GPS suite, unlimited messaging to anyone in the world and 150 minutes free voice calling worldwide... your not getting that for $50... it is a far superior capability over your standard phone bill and we know how much that costs. This is satellite communication for worldwide use....not just local cellular.

The standard Iridium GO unlimited plan is approx $135 a month. Our minimum additional cost ($15) is for our added capability and the servers we have to maintain to make all this magic happen....which is barely covering the cost to even maintain this capability...

In fact were getting asked to switch over to the standard plans which all trackers typically run off of....charging you per byte (minute) of tracking... jacking the price up greatly. Were doing our best to avoid that...

    Racing is expensive!

We don't rent the hardware out but you can rent the GO from some other folks out there than get our service plans for 1 month/30 days

Current rates are $105 activation for your group then $275 per unit. However with the new improved satellites launched and coming online in April Iridium will be raising that cost and we are waiting for more info.

Looking for info on the Iridium Go. Will the units with prepaid service work with LeadNav or is there something special that must be done. I want to rent (2) Iridium Go's for the Baja 250 but haven't purchased the sim yet. I want to try them out before we purchase them for the vehicles as its not a cheap service but I think is worth the cost if used properly. What is the best way to go about this?
Is there going to be a new model Iridium Go offered next month with the new rollout of the higher speed services?
Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Contact us through the website for details and contract. This is our capability and run through our service above and beyond the standard communication service packages.

We have per event or per year contracts.

Pricing depends on the scale of the loadout, whether we trained you and the number of units. Traditional communication only on the GO for unlimited data plan is $149 a month. The added LN-IRIDIUM tracking puts you between $165-250 a month for a year or $450 per event per unit.

Currently this is through our SIM cards and our service. You can rent the units from others but the service needs to be through us as each device is programmed into our server.

Prepaid doesn’t cut it as you would burn through a card in a day and for a weekend event you would be paying closer to $2k in minutes.

We can obviously still match the standard $149 monthly communication only plans everyone else has.
